Benefits

Psalms 68:19: Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. What shall we render unto the Lord for all of his benefits towards us?

Benefits.

We look for them, need them, and even negotiate to attain them. When interviewing for a job we want to know up-front what we are going to receive for our labor. We look for the benefits of a certain credit card, a certain life insurance policy, and so many other things. Often, we find the benefits are dismal or even non-existent. Companies limit benefits because of the exorbitant costs.

But our God has already counted the cost, paid the ultimate price, and he loads us down with them. By His stripes we are healed. He was bruised for our iniquities. He was wounded for our transgressions. Jesus didn't pro-rate any benefits, nor did he place a ninety-day waiting period, but He made them available immediately.

What can we render in return? He requires our love and praise from the depths of our being. Each morning when we arise thank Him for our great benefit package! Lord, help us to never forget your daily benefits! Jesus, we say…thank you!! - Author Unknown
